Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation signed a protocol of intent providing for the localization of the production of medicines in Uzbekistan. Under the agreement, the parties also plan to open joint research laboratories aimed at developing and implementing new medical technologies.
The cooperation will cover a wide range of pharmaceutical products-from basic medicines to specialized medicines, including medicines for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. This will not only strengthen the pharmaceutical industry in Uzbekistan, but also increase the availability of essential medicines for the population.
The implementation of joint projects will contribute to the development of the scientific potential of the two countries, as well as to the expansion of production capacities in the field of medicine and pharmacology.
