A Tesla electric car caught fire in Tashkent, no injuries reported

On April 18, a Tesla electric car caught fire in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent. According to the information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the fire alarm was received at the duty station at 12:24. Fire and rescue units arrived at the scene within eight minutes and promptly localized and eliminated the source of fire, preventing its spread to other vehicles or infrastructure facilities.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The car was significantly damaged, but thanks to the coordinated actions of rescuers, it was possible to avoid more serious consequences.

Experts are working on the site to conduct technical expertise and find out possible causes of the fire. Various versions are considered, including overheating of the battery, faulty electrical equipment or violation of charging rules.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations stressed that cases of electric vehicle fires in Uzbekistan remain rare, but against the background of the growing popularity of electric cars, the issue of their safe operation is becoming increasingly important. In this regard, the agency called on owners of electric vehicles to strictly follow the technical instructions, especially in terms of charging batteries, storing vehicles and carrying out regular maintenance.

The incident became the subject of discussion among experts and the public, raising issues of regulation and improving safety standards in the context of the rapid growth of the electric vehicle market in the country. It is expected that the investigation will result in additional recommendations for drivers and importers of such equipment.
