Tashkent hosted a meeting of representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan with the management of the Turkish company Sura Holding, where they discussed the prospects for investment cooperation in the agro-industrial sector. The main attention was paid to the creation of vertically integrated agricultural clusters on the territory of the republic with a full cycle-from the cultivation of agricultural products to its processing and export.
The parties expressed interest in joining forces to increase the productivity of the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan, using advanced technologies and management practices. Representatives of Sura Holding noted the high potential of the country in the field of agriculture and expressed their readiness to invest in infrastructure development, including the construction of modern logistics centers, processing plants and greenhouse complexes.
Special attention was paid to digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. The implementation of intelligent crop monitoring systems, water resources management, risk forecasting and automation of production processes was discussed. Such solutions will increase the transparency, efficiency and sustainability of agricultural production, as well as meet international quality standards when exporting products.
The meeting participants stressed the importance of long-term partnership and outlined plans to create joint working groups to develop specific projects. It is assumed that as a result of cooperation with Sura Holding, Uzbekistan will be able to strengthen its export orientation, increase the share of processed products in the total volume of agricultural exports and create additional jobs in the regions.
