In the first quarter of 2025, the export of peanuts from Uzbekistan increased significantly. According to the National Statistical Committee, 4.3 thousand tons of products were exported in three months, which is 47.6% more compared to the same period last year. In monetary terms, the export volume amounted to $ 4.1 million, which indicates not only an increase in physical volumes of supplies, but also an increase in the cost of Uzbek peanuts on international markets.
The main importing countries were Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Pakistan. These markets maintain a steady demand for nut products from Uzbekistan, which is associated with their quality, competitive price and stable supply.
Export growth was made possible by increasing the area allocated for peanut crops, as well as the active introduction of modern agricultural technologies that allow increasing yields and improving product quality. Uzbek farmers are increasingly applying drip irrigation, breeding approaches and technological solutions that meet international standards.
In addition, the Government of Uzbekistan is considering additional measures to expand the processing of peanuts in the country and stimulate the production of export-oriented products with high added value. Among the priorities is the production of peanut butter, pastes and snacks, which will not only increase export revenues, but also create new jobs in the agricultural sector and the food industry.
