According to the latest data from the Center for Economic Research and Reform (CEIR), in March 2025, the business climate index in Uzbekistan reached 61 points, an increase of 8 points compared to February. This growth reflects positive changes in the economic environment and indicates an increase in business activity in the country.
The Business Climate Index is an important indicator of sentiment in the business community. Its growth indicates that the business perceives economic conditions as favorable and is ready for further development. In March, the largest dynamics were recorded in such sectors as construction, agriculture and services - these industries became leaders in the growth of business confidence.
More than 78% of the companies that participated in the survey gave a positive assessment of their prospects for the next three months. Among the key factors that contributed to the improvement of sentiment, entrepreneurs named the reduction of administrative barriers, simplification of tax administration and increased access to finance.
The authorities continue to work systematically to create favorable conditions for doing business. Among the priority areas are digitalization of public services, modernization of financial institutions, development of mechanisms to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as increasing the transparency of the regulatory environment.
The progressive improvement of the business climate confirms the effectiveness of the ongoing economic reforms and strengthens Uzbekistan's position as a country with a promising and open economy.
