A digital platform for organizing hajj and umrah is being created in Uzbekistan

The Uzbek authorities have announced the launch of a new digital system designed to simplify and modernize the process of registration of pilgrimage for citizens traveling for Hajj and Umrah. The project is implemented under the coordination of the Ministry of Tourism, the Committee on Religious Affairs and IT Park, and provides for the creation of a single online portal and mobile application.

The new system will include the entire range of services related to the preparation for the pilgrimage: electronic registration, automatic queue formation, tracking the stages of application processing, receiving notifications about documents and logistics. It is also possible to submit the necessary documents and pay for services in digital format, which will reduce the waiting time and reduce the administrative burden.

One of the key objectives of the project is to ensure maximum transparency and eliminate the influence of intermediaries in the process of forming lists of pilgrims. It is also important that thanks to the platform, citizens will be able to independently monitor the status of their application and get complete information about the progress of trip preparation in real time.

The launch of the digital platform is scheduled for September 1, 2025. It will be part of a large-scale reform aimed at digitizing public services and increasing their accessibility to the population. According to the developers, the new system will provide a fairer and more efficient approach to the organization of Hajj and Umrah, as well as increase the overall level of trust in this process on the part of citizens.

In the future, the platform may be integrated with other state information systems, which will open up opportunities for its further expansion and application in other areas of religious and social services.
