President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a working visit to Andijan region

On April 15, 2025, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Andijan region on a working visit. The visit of the head of state was aimed at familiarizing with the current socio-economic development of the region, the implementation of investment projects, as well as identifying new tasks in the framework of sustainable growth of the region.

According to information published by the Presidential press service, during the trip, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a number of industrial facilities, where he was introduced to new enterprises launched as part of localization programs and expansion of export potential. Special attention was paid to the efficiency of production processes, the creation of new jobs and the introduction of modern technologies.

In addition, the President got acquainted with the construction and modernization of energy and transport infrastructure facilities, as well as plans for the development of the urban environment and housing construction. He also held a field meeting with the participation of heads of ministries, departments and local authorities.

The meeting addressed issues of increasing employment, supporting entrepreneurship, rational use of resources and improving the local management system. The President stressed the need to continue comprehensive reforms aimed at improving the living standards of residents of the Andijan region and ensuring sustainable economic growth.

Following the visit, specific instructions were given to accelerate the implementation of the planned projects and eliminate the identified problematic issues.
