In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 14, 2025, this year $200 million will be allocated to support projects implemented by women entrepreneurs. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The funds will be used for comprehensive support of women's entrepreneurship, including providing unsecured loans, organizing training programs and creating new jobs for women in various regions of the country. Special attention is planned to be paid to the involvement of women in small and medium-sized businesses, as well as their professional training.
The goal of the program is to promote women's economic activity and strengthen their role in the country's economy. It is expected that the implementation of the initiative will provide employment for 2 million women, as well as train 250 thousand of them in practical professional skills and the basics of entrepreneurship.
The program is aimed at expanding women's economic opportunities, increasing their financial independence and strengthening social stability, which corresponds to the priorities of the state policy on ensuring gender equality and comprehensive support for families.
