On April 13, 2025, within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait, an agreement was reached on the creation of a joint investment platform and a Business Council. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The agreement is aimed at strengthening economic partnership and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
The investment platform will become a mechanism for developing and supporting joint projects in key sectors of the economy, such as energy, agriculture, transport, infrastructure and industry. It is assumed that the platform will serve as a tool for structured implementation of investment initiatives, as well as for attracting strategic partners and financial institutions to them.
The Business Council, in turn, will serve as a dialogue platform between representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Kuwait. It will allow establishing direct interaction between entrepreneurs, sharing experience, best practices and business ideas, as well as coordinating efforts to launch joint commercial and investment projects.
The establishment of these structures is seen as an important step in strengthening bilateral ties and boosting business activity. The Ministry emphasizes that Uzbekistan is interested in developing a sustainable and long-term partnership with Kuwait, especially given the growing interest in cooperation in the field of green energy, high technologies and logistics.
