The Women Empowerment Week in Tech educational project has started at the School 21 campus in Samarkand. Within four days, participants will be able to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to build a career in IT and digital. The project was initiated by the School of Digital Technologies School 21 with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Promoting women's participation in the technology industry is becoming an important part of government policy. In recent years, Uzbekistan has significantly improved its position in the Gender Equality and Governance Index (GEGI), rising from 103rd to 52nd place. This has been made possible by comprehensive measures aimed at increasing opportunities for women in education, entrepreneurship and technology.
Women Empowerment Week in Tech is designed to help girls confidently master popular digital competencies, deepen their knowledge and find new perspectives in the field of information technology.
