The President of Uzbekistan approved new measures to support women's entrepreneurship aimed at developing small and medium-sized businesses among women, for which $ 200 million is allocated. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
The document establishes the initiatives presented by the head of state on the eve of International Women's Day and provides for the allocation of an additional $ 200 million for concessional lending to women entrepreneurs by the end of this year.
How will the funding be organized?
The funds will be distributed through key financial institutions in the country:
- Business Development Bank It will direct the allocated resources within the framework of the Hamroh program, which is focused on supporting women who run their own businesses.
- Mikrokreditbank and Halyk Bank provide funding as part of the Family Entrepreneurship Development Initiative.
Priority attention will be given to women starting businesses in rural areas, as well as those who develop socially significant projects.
