British University Roehampton may open a campus in Uzbekistan

Uzbek diplomats met with the leadership of the British University Roehampton in London to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of higher education. The talks were attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK Ravshan Usmanov and Vice-rector of the University Professor Richard Keogh.

Special attention was paid to the possibilities of implementing a double degree program and implementing Roehampton educational standards in Uzbek universities on the basis of franchising.

Professor Richard Keogh expressed interest in strengthening cooperation and stressed the university's readiness for long-term partnership with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.

"We discussed in detail the prospects for establishing academic ties with universities in Uzbekistan," said Lidia Dabrovskaya, Regional Director for International Cooperation at Roehampton. — This will create new opportunities for both universities and students in both countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to speed up the implementation of joint educational programs.

Roehampton University was founded in 1841 and was granted university status in 2004. Currently, it has about 13 thousand students, including 15 citizens of Uzbekistan. The university offers programs in pedagogy, business management, medicine, social sciences, IT, art, design, and sports. To date, Roehampton already has branches in Singapore, Germany, France, Greece and Nepal.
