More than 30 companies operating in Tashkent were brought to administrative responsibility for non-compliance with the legislation on advertising. Violators include well-known brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Oqtepa Lavash and a candy store Safia.
Violations of the companies were revealed by employees of the Tashkent Department of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection. During the inspections conducted in January and February 2025, experts analyzed the advertising materials of these companies for compliance with the requirements of the law. Based on the results of the audit, it was found that a number of organizations allowed the content of advertising to fail to comply with the current standards.
Administrative cases were initiated against the companies of violators, and decisions were made to impose fines. In addition to financial sanctions, companies were issued instructions to eliminate the identified violations, as well as recommendations to prevent such cases in the future.
The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection continues to monitor the advertising market in order to ensure compliance with the law and protect consumer rights. Earlier, the agency has already identified violations related to the unjustified overstatement of tariffs for heat and household waste removal.
