A press conference was held in Tashkent, where the results of the activities of the National Agency for Advanced Projects NAPPA for 2024 were summed up. The event provides detailed information on the Agency's key areas of work.
Among the main results::
- The state budget received 2.38 billion soums of state duty and 8 billion soums of fees for carrying out activities from service providers in the field of turnover of crypto assets. Since 2019, the total amount of budget revenues from this sector has exceeded 56.5 billion soums.
- In 2024, about 10 million insurance contracts were concluded. The volume of insurance premiums amounted to 9.8 trillion soums, which is 21% more than in 2023. The amount of insurance payments increased by 9 % and reached 2.2 trillion soums, while the total assets of insurers increased by 24.9 %, amounting to 11.8 trillion soums.
- 4648 applications in the insurance sector were considered, of which 2193 were satisfied. The total amount of insurance indemnities amounted to 34.6 billion soums.
- More than 2 billion soums were recovered in favor of shareholders based on the results of consideration of 703 appeals.
- 20 claims for recovery of dividends accrued on shares were filed in the economic courts. Court decisions were issued for more than 3.6 billion soums.
- The activity of foreign electronic trading platforms, including Yandex, Ozon, Wildberries, and Wolt, has been localized.
- More than 10 major international marketplaces have opened representative offices in Uzbekistan. As a result of their activities, the state budget received more than 160 billion soums of tax payments, and the number of self-employed in the field of e-commerce increased by 55 %.
NAPP continues to work on developing priority areas aimed at improving the financial market, supporting entrepreneurship and integrating digital technologies into the country's economy.
