Uzbekistan and Qatar signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of IT

During the visit to the State of Qatar, the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the CEO of Invest Qatar Sheikh Ali Al-Waleed Al-Thani.

During the talks, the parties discussed key issues related to the development of the IT sector, including training specialists in the field of information technology, promoting their employment abroad, supporting local startups, as well as long-term plans for the development of the industry.

Following the meeting, Uzbekistan and Qatar signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology. The document is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of digital economy, innovation and technological development.

For reference purposes: Invest Qatar is a foreign investment promotion agency established in 2019 to support Qatar's economic growth. The organization actively cooperates with international partners, including participating in the ICTWeek 2024 event as a regional partner. The agreement will mark a new stage in the development of investment ties between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
