Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan jointly with IT-Park organized an international conference «Offshore Outsourcing Conference 2025»which has become an important platform for discussing the prospects for exporting IT services and forming a global ecosystem of IT outsourcing.
The event was attended by more than 280 representatives from 250 companiesincluding leading international and local IT corporations, as well as industry experts. The participants discussed key issues of IT outsourcing development, established professional contacts and considered opportunities for cooperation in this area.
Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan delivered a speech at the conference Sherzod Shermatov. He recalled that in 2017, the President of the country set an ambitious goal — to turn Uzbekistan into one of the leading centers of information technology.
"At that time, many people could not imagine the scale of this idea. At that time, there were less than 10 IT companies with foreign capital in Uzbekistan. Today, about 30 foreign IT companies start operating in the country every month. This growth confirms the foresight and accuracy of the strategic course chosen by our Leader."- said the minister.
According to him, today the IT sector of Uzbekistan is not only actively developing, but also becoming one of the leading areas for creating high-paying jobs for young people. If earlier talented specialists went abroad in search of better opportunities, now they choose development of own startups in Uzbekistan as IT residents Park.
The conference was another step towards strengthening Uzbekistan's position as a promising location for offshore outsourcing and international cooperation in the field of IT.
