Tashkent hosts the International Hotel Business Forum on February 25-26, 2025dedicated to the theme "Innovation and Sustainability: new technologies in the hospitality industry". The event was organized by Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan supported by Committee for Tourism.
Key topics and forum participants
Forum collected leading specialists of the hotel business, representatives of the tourism industry, public and private organizations. Participants include experts from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and other countries.
The official opening of the forum was marked by video message of the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov. Welcoming speeches were delivered by:
- Umid Shadiyev - Chairman of the Tourism Committee,
- Konstantin Zlygostev – Russian trade representative in Uzbekistan,
- Ilkhom Mamatkulov - Rector of the Singapore Institute of Management Development in Tashkent.
The main theme of the forum is the introduction of innovative and sustainable technologies in the hotel business. Special attention is paid to green technologiesIt is aimed at reducing the impact on the environment, improving energy efficiency and creating environmentally friendly hotel models.

The forum also includes B2B and G2B meetings, specialized workshops and exhibitions products and services for the HoReCa sector. The event will become a signing platform memoranda and strategic agreements.
National Hospitality Award
The IV National Hospitality Award Ceremony will take place on February 26aimed at developing the hotel infrastructure and improving the quality of services. This year's award received 310 applications from 203 hotels, and reached the final 42 nominees in 37 categories.
Hotel business trends in Uzbekistan
In 2024, Uzbekistan was visited by more than 10 million foreign tourists. The hotel sector is actively developing – over the past year, the number of hotels opened in the country has increased significantly. 124 new hotels. As of January 31, 2025 in Uzbekistan, there are 6,198 placement facilities, including 1 101 hotels with a total number of rooms 69,186 units.
To encourage investment in 2024-2026 the state compensates hotel construction costs and partially covers royalty expenses when attracting international brands. In 2025, it is expected to further growth of tourist traffic and improving the level of hotel service.
