Yandex Direct advertisers can now use the AppMetrica pixel in display campaigns to track app installations and in-app events after viewing ads.
To set up tracking, install the AppMetrica SDK in the app and create a tracking link, specifying Yandex Direct as a partner. Adding a pixel is free of charge.
Currently, the system records users who installed the app after clicking or viewing ads, and also tracks their actions inside it. However, events in the app that was already installed before the ad was shown are not yet attributed to the campaign — This feature will appear in future updates.
Analyzing user actions after installation will allow advertisers to more accurately adjust bids and optimize targeting. For example, if certain audiences or ad formats lead to more targeted actions in the app, the budget can be reallocated in their favor.
