A British developer has created an app that encourages users to get out into the fresh air

In today's world, where mobile devices have become an integral part of everyday life, more and more people are facing the problem of excessive consumption of digital content. To combat this phenomenon, the British developer introduced an innovative application that restricts access to distracting programs until the user spends time on the street.

The main feature of the application is the mechanism for checking whether a given condition is met. To unlock access to social networks and other entertainment services, the user must go out into the fresh air and touch the grass. The proof is a photo taken in real time, which is analyzed by the computer vision algorithm.

This solution is aimed at combating the phenomenon of mind — scrolling-the habit of endlessly scrolling through news feeds, which can negatively affect the psycho-emotional state. According to the developer, his app will become an effective tool for forming healthier digital habits and help people spend more time on the street.

The technology used in the program is based on machine learning methods. The algorithm analyzes the image, evaluates its validity, and confirms whether the user is actually interacting with nature. This prevents you from being able to bypass the system using old photos or images from the Internet.

The app's creator notes that the idea came about amid a growing interest in digital wellbeing. According to research, prolonged use of smartphones and social networks can cause anxiety, stress, and impaired concentration. Restricting access to digital entertainment during a walk, according to the author of the project, will allow users to reduce their dependence on gadgets and improve their well-being.

In addition, the developer is considering the possibility of integrating additional features that will motivate users to a more active lifestyle. In the future, the app may include tasks that encourage walking in parks, visiting green areas, or even running in the fresh air.

While the program is still being tested, it is already attracting interest from users who want to balance their digital lives. The developer plans to further improve the algorithm, including the ability to customize individual conditions to encourage outdoor activity.

Experts in the field of digital health note that such initiatives can be an important step in reducing the negative impact of technology on the mental and physical condition of people. In the face of constant information pressure, such solutions help people to use gadgets more consciously and devote more time to real life.
