The international Robotics and drone Championship, the largest in Central Asia, has started in Almaty. Students from different countries will present their scientific developments and innovative startups, competing in four age categories:
- First Lego League Discover (4-6 years old)
- First Lego League Explore (6-10 years old)
- First Lego League Challenge (10-16 years old)
- First Tech Challenge (12-18 years old)
The Drone Championship includes several areas:
- Aspan Drone Competition - programming and piloting of drones
- Aspan Cyber Competition - virtual racing on the VelociDrone simulator
- Aspan Drone Race - Drone racing in FPV mode (First Person View)
The winners will have the opportunity to represent their country at international competitions in South Korea, Europe, China and Turkey. In addition, the best teams will go to the world stage of the championship in Houston (Texas, USA).
"This prestigious tournament has become an important event for talented young engineers, programmers and innovators. In addition to competitions, guests will enjoy interactive activities, engineering quests, prize draws and memorable gifts, "said Gulnur Karimgazhi, Director of the Almaty Daryny Center.
Kazakhstan has already become the world champion in robotics among 190 countries three times, setting a record for the competition in Athens in October last year.
