On February 19, 2025, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan completed the re-registration of the Public Charitable Foundation "Ezgu Amal". As part of the procedure, a new version of the organization's charter was officially registered.
Conflict resolution
Earlier in the Foundation, there were disagreements between the founders and the Board of Trustees related to the interpretation of the provisions of the charter. The founders attempted an early dissolution of the current Board of Trustees, which led to an internal conflict.
On December 24, 2024, the Ministry of Justice organized a meeting of the parties to resolve the situation. As a result of the discussions, the Board of Trustees was ordered to eliminate legal violations and take measures to stabilize the Fund's work.
On January 13, 2025, an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Trustees was held, at which a report on the causes of the conflict was presented and amendments to the charter were proposed.
On February 19, the Ministry of Justice registered a new version of the charter (registration number 102 / p). The document is aimed at increasing the transparency and independence of the Fund's management.
Major changes to the Charter
- The Board of Trustees is elected for a five-year term.
- The initial composition is formed by the founders, and further changes are made by decision of the Board.
- Meetings are held at least once a year, and decisions are made by a majority vote.
- Extraordinary meetings may be convened at the request of two-thirds of the members of the Board, Management Board or Audit Commission.
- A mechanism has been introduced to exclude members of the Council by a corresponding decision.
Further activities of the Foundation
The Foundation continues to operate normally, maintaining its main mission — to help children with cancer. All planned programs and initiatives are being implemented in full.
