IT Park Uzbekistan expands cooperation with companies in the UAE and the MENA region

Delegation IT Park Uzbekistan headed by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Farhod Ibragimov held a number of meetings in Dubai with IT companies and organizations of the United Arab Emirates. Collaboration with DIFC Innovation Hub

Farhod Ibragimov met with Mohammed Albushi, CEO of DIFC Innovation Hub. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of digital technologies and startup ecosystems. Negotiations with Odoo UAE

Representatives IT Park Uzbekistan met with By Youssef Zeynden, Director of Channels and Alliances at Odoo UAE, and Rashit Goel, Head of the Mid-market and Corporate Business Department at Odoo UAE.

Odoo is active in Central Asia and the Caucasus and has already implemented several successful projects in Uzbekistan. Last year, Odoo signed memorandum of understanding with TATUby launching an educational program. Now the company is taking the next step-planning opening of a regional office in Uzbekistan.

Odoo is also experiencing an acute shortage Python developers and it intends to develop educational programs for training personnel in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the meeting, agreements were reached on holding workshops for IT specialists in Uzbekistan, as well as about the launch of pilot project with the participation of a trainer and ten developers for migration to Odoo technology. If the pilot is successful, the company will deploy development office and technical support in the country.

IT Park Uzbekistan also invited Odoo on Offshore Outsourcing Conference, which will take place February 26th.

The parties discussed the prospect of opening a back office in Uzbekistan and support programs for residents of IT Park Uzbekistan. Comarch sees Uzbekistan as strategic platform for international projects and expressed interest in creating a delivery office in the country.

Special attention was paid to the Zero Risk program and IT Park residency opportunities that provide favorable business conditions.
