In Tashkent, the size of the market fee for 2025 has been increased

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan () -- The Khokim of Tashkent has approved a decree on raising the market fee (patta) in the capital's markets and shopping complexes for 2025. This is reported by the correspondent Podrobno.uz.

According to the document, the market fee rates have been increased as follows::

  • on 10 % - for vegetables, bread and bakery products,
  • on 17-20 % - for household items, clothing and poultry,
  • on 21-25 % - for citrus, tropical and dried fruits, canned food, soft drinks, flowers, car spare parts,
  • on 26-29 % - for bee products.

Reasons for raising bids

As explained in the press service of the Moscow city administration, the increase in fees is associated with an increase in the cost of maintaining markets and shopping complexes.

In 2022, the total cost of 19 markets and shopping centers was 256.3 billion soums, in 2023 – 296 billion soums, and in 2024 – 314.1 billion soums. In 2025, it is planned to increase spending to 383.5 billion soums, what's on 22 % more than a year earlier.

Additional funds will be used to pay taxes, utilities, increase employees ' salaries, as well as repair and construction of facilities.

What additional fees will be used for

The city administration emphasizes that the share of patta in the total income of markets and shopping complexes does not exceed 15 %. The funds received are intended to improve the infrastructure and improve the quality of service.

By increasing market fees, it is planned to:

  • cleaning, lighting and landscaping services,
  • repair or replacement of pavilion roofs,
  • construction of new shopping malls,
  • laying of asphalt and paving stones on paths,
  • painting fences and maintaining communication networks.

In addition, additional revenues will ensure timely payment of salaries to more than half of the population. 1.6 thousand employees and covering utility costs.
