Gastronomic and tourist streets to be built in Almazar district of Tashkent

In the near future, new gastronomic and tourist streets will be created in the Almazar district of Tashkent. This was announced during a presentation on the development of the capital's tourism potential, which was reviewed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the press service of the head of state reports.

Tashkent's old city, which has a special historical value, attracts thousands of foreign tourists every year. In this regard, it is developing as a specialized tourist cluster. So, last year, a themed tourist street appeared in Gulbozor mahalla next to Chorsu market, and work continues on improving the Abdulla Kadyri Culture and Recreation Park.

As part of the new project, 17 streets and 32 alleys are planned to be improved in the Almazarsky district, where additional tourist facilities will be created while preserving the unique architectural appearance of the Old City.

It is assumed that these changes will lead to an increase in the number of entrepreneurs, the creation of 1.5 thousand new jobs, as well as an increase in the daily tourist flow — from 4 thousand to 11 thousand people.

The President instructed to take additional measures to support entrepreneurs and artisans, as well as to develop tourist routes that will make traveling around Tashkent more intense and exciting.

Currently, large-scale tourism projects are being implemented in different districts of the capital. Dozens of tourist sites operating 24/7 are being actively created in Bektemir, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Mirabad, Yunusabad, Yakkasaray and Yangikhaet districts.
